Board of Health

Mercer County Board Of Health:

The members of the Mercer County Board of Health are appointed by the Mercer County Health District Advisory Council (DAC) during the annual meeting held on the third Monday of March. Each board member must be a Mercer County resident, and at least one must be a licensed physician. Board members serve a five-year term of office.

The Health Commissioner is appointed by the Board of Health and must be a licensed physician, licensed dentist, licensed veterinarian or holder of a Master’s Degree in Public Health or other relevant master’s degree.

The Health Commissioner is the designated secretary of the Board of Health.
