The Mercer County Health District has successfully completed its biannual financial audit with no material weaknesses noted by the independent auditing firm that conducted the audit. The Ohio Auditor of State released the audit report on July 20, 2023, and noted that the Mercer County Health District was Star Rating System (StaRS) Compliant and awarded one star. StaRS recognizes local government agencies that go above and beyond in the areas of transparency and accountability.
